Child sex abuse referrals rise after Watkins case
The NSPCC says the numbers coming forward to report child sex abuse has risen 70% in the wake of the case of paedophile singer Ian Watkins.
Watkins was sentenced to 29 years for child sex offences and ordered to serve another six years on licence at Cardiff Crown Court on Wednesday.
Two women, the mothers of children he abused, were all jailed.
Jan Pickles said the the over riding message for victims of sexual assault and sexual abuse from the case was the sex offenders could get major sentences.
She spoke to Oliver Hides on BBC Wales.
