Missing girl in sea search to resume off Barry

Coastguards says a low water search will be carried out later this morning for a 14-year-old girl who went missing on Barry Island on Sunday.

The teenager, who was on holiday in the area, was last seen struggling in the sea off Whitmore Bay on Sunday afternoon.

A large air and sea search for her continued until last light at 22:00 BST on Sunday.

David Hughes, watch manager at Swansea Coastguard, told Nelli Bird on BBC Radio Wales the latest on the search for the missing girl.
