Gwent police chief 'unfairly' removed says Chris Ruane MP
Gwent's police and crime commissioner should reflect on his position after a former chief constable was removed "unfairly and abruptly", says an MP.
Chris Ruane is a member of the Home Affairs Select Committee which heard evidence from Ian Johnston and former police chief Carmel Napier on Tuesday.
Mr Johnston has said he forced Mrs Napier to "retire or be removed".
In his evidence, Mr Johnston told MPs Mrs Napier was "unacceptably unhelpful" and was hostile to his role.
Mr Ruane spoke to Bethan Rhys Roberts on BBC Radio Wales' Good Morning Wales programme.
