Private firms 'overhaul' for probation services
The UK government is set to unveil plans to ask private firms to supervise low risk offenders in an overhaul of probation services in Wales and England.
Under the plans to be set out by justice secretary, Chris Grayling, security firms and voluntary groups could manage probation on a "payment by results" basis.
BBC Wales' Good Morning Wales programme asked residents in the Cynon Valley town of Aberdare what they thought of the proposals - and got the view of expert, Colin Rogers, a professor of police sciences at University of Glamorgan and also former police officer:
