Scottish independence: Ruth Davison would stand for election after Yes vote
Ruth Davidson has said she would stand for election to the Scottish Parliament if Scots vote for independence in the referendum on 18 September 2014.
The leader of the Scottish Conservatives had been speaking to BBC Scotland's political editor Brian Taylor ahead of the party conference in Edinburgh.
A BBC News website reader had wanted to know if Ms Davidson would be prepared to stand for election in an independent Scotland.
The Glasgow MSP told BBC Scotland's political editor Brian Taylor: "I don't see any reason why I wouldn't."
She went on: "I see no reason why I would not want to continue to be part of the political life of this nation."
