Historic Scotland watching over Scotland's heritage 100 years
The organisation set up to safeguard the nation's heritage is itself 100 years old.
The passing of the Ancient Monuments Act 1913 led to the creation of Historic Scotland which looks after our castles, churches and prehistoric monuments.
It is now also helping preserve Scotland's heritage in more modest ways as BBC Scotland's social affairs correspondent Reevel Alderson reports.
