Localism and planning polices to control developments

When the coalition came to power, it promised people a greater say about new housing, transport links and power plants in their area but how does the government get things built while balancing the wishes of Nimby (Not In My Back Yard) voters.

David Thompson discussed "localism" with Royal Town Planning Institute chief executive Trudi Elliott and Institute of Economic Affairs director general Mark Littlewood.
