Zac Goldsmith on Cameron dropping recall policy

A Tory MP who has been pushing for recall powers over the actions of errant MPs said he was ashamed of his party for abandoning the plans.

Zac Goldsmith told Andrew Neil that "David Cameron has behaved appallingly over this", and he also criticised Nick Clegg.

Plans for a "power of recall" for MPs who have committed "serious wrongdoing" have been abandoned following a dispute between the Tories and Lib Dems.
