Labour leader Ed Miliband: We need courage to change
Labour leader Ed Miliband has urged the TUC to back his controversial plans to change the way unions fund the Labour Party.
He explained why he wanted to change the link between his party and the unions, by giving affiliated union members a choice of whether to support Labour, rather than being automatically signed up.
Addressing the TUC congress in Bournemouth, he said: "We have to have the courage to change... I am absolutely determined change will happen".
