Spending Review: Osborne announces council tax freeze to continue
Chancellor George Osborne has announced that the council tax freeze, due to come to an end in 2014, will be extended for a further two years.
Mr Osborne said the freeze extension would mean nearly £100 off the average council tax bill for families.
The chancellor is setting out spending cuts for 2015/16 forced on him by slower than expected economic growth and deficit reduction.
Labour has said it will stick to the plans if it wins the 2015 election.
