Man behind IDS petition: 'It went viral very quickly'
An online petition calling for the Work and Pensions Secretary, Iain Duncan Smith, to prove he can live on £53 per week has received over 200,000 signatures.
During an interview on the Today programme, the minister was asked if he could live on that amount, to which he replied that he could, if he had to.
Dom Arvesano, a musician from Twickenham, who set up the petition, said he had not received a response from Mr Duncan Smith.
