Michael Gove: 'Small' gap between PM and rebels
The Education Secretary Michael Gove has played down the difference between Tory MPs after about 80 defied David Cameron's Europe policy in a Commons vote.
He told BBC Breakfast: "There were friends and colleagues of mine who went through the other divisional lobby last night whose views I respect and whom I admire."
In total, 81 Tory MPs, including two tellers, defied the whips, while two actively abstained by voting both ways and a further 12 are known not to have voted.
