Michael D Higgins: N Ireland troublemakers 'should apologise'
The president of Ireland, Michael D Higgins, has urged those who inflicted violence in Northern Ireland to apologise and show humility about the past.
The president arrived in London for the first state visit to the UK by an Irish head of state.
He says there can be no "amnesia" about what happened during the troubles.
