Harrogate Hospital issues video goggles for patients
Hospital patients are being given special video goggles to wear that show movies as they undergo operations.
Harrogate Hospital said it believes it is the only medical unit in the UK to use the goggles, which allows orthopaedic patients to watch films during surgery.
Surgeons said they help distract patients and reduce the need to give as much sedation for operations during procedures such as knee and hip replacement operations.
