Brearton row over wooden Easter cross
A wooden cross has been dumped in a village pond by a protestor causing a row.
The cross, in Brearton, North Yorkshire, had been placed on the village green to mark the festival of Lent.
The cross has since been placed back inside the church yard and the parish council has undertaken an email referendum in the village.
