Masterchef's John Torode backs community eating scheme
Masterchef star John Torode tucked in to mince and dumplings on a visit to County Durham.
The TV chef - more used to high end cuisine on the BBC show - joined pensioners in East Stanley to support a £1m scheme to combat loneliness and encourage older people to eat together.
The project is being considered for a National Lottery award and could be extended to other parts of the country.
Look North's Jonathan Swingler reports.
