Hundreds of cyclists without lights stopped by police

Police have stopped hundreds of cyclists in Newcastle this year for riding without lights, it has been revealed.

A campaign in the Jesmond area of the city is aimed at persuading people - students especially - to take their own safety more seriously.

Gerry Jackson found many young people were surprised that having no lights at night is against the law.
