Fury at Thrunton fire which has been burning since September

Residents in a Northumberland village claim a fire which has been burning since September is a health risk.

The blaze destroyed two warehouses at a carpet recycling firm at Thrunton, near Alnwick, on 3 September.

But because the former brickworks site is close to the village's natural water supply, efforts to extinguish it have been hampered.

Talks between Northumberland Fire Service and the Environment Agency are ongoing in an attempt to find a solution.

Mark Denten spoke to some of the residents.
