Tree-trapped debut sky diver unhurt

A parachutist who spent three hours stuck in a tree after his first sky dive went wrong said he has not been put off the sport.

Northumbria University student Pracheen Gemawat was left hanging 60ft (20m) up a tree for three hours on Friday after his crash landing but was unhurt.

Thirty-eight Durham and Darlington firefighters helped free him in Cuthbert Road in Peterlee.
