Graphene: Tough and flexible 'miracle material' made on Teesside

A product that could revolutionise manufacturing is being made on Teesside.

Graphene is a material that is tougher than steel and more flexible than rubber.

It can be added to paints, oils and plastics and then used to make items such as bendy mobile phones, super-light batteries and even artificial retinas.

Business correspondent Ian Reeve has had the first look at the Teesside facility where graphene is made.
