City honours 'escapee' D-Day veteran Bernard Jordan

A war veteran who made headlines across the world when he sneaked out of his care home to head for the D-Day commemorations in France has been honoured at a special ceremony in Brighton.

Bernard Jordan, 90, was awarded the title honorary alderman of the city.

BBC South East Today reporter John Young was at the ceremony.
