West Sussex is biggest roadkill hotspot

West Sussex is the biggest roadkill hotspot in the country, researchers from the University of Cardiff have said.

The first ever survey of roadkill found more than 200 dead animals including badgers, foxes and pheasants had been found on roads in the area between February and June.

The figures point to wider patterns in the local wildlife population, the researchers said.
