A night in the trenches for Surrey neighbours

A group of WWI enthusiasts dug up a back garden in Charlwood, Surrey, to create their own trench network.

The idea was the brainchild of historian Andrew Robertshaw, a descendent of a WWI soldier, who wanted to get a sense of what it was like to be on the Western Front almost 100 years ago.
