Inquiry after Ipswich girl 'ignored' at walk-in unit
An investigation is under way into claims a walk-in centre in Suffolk ignored a mother's pleas about her daughter's ill health.
Sam Burgess took eight-year-old Sophie to the centre in Ipswich after she became ill with a throat condition.
She said she waited for almost two hours to be seen by a GP, as Sophie's health deteriorated. Sophie required emergency surgery and spent 48 hours in intensive care.
Harmoni, the care provider, said it was undertaking a vigorous investigation.
