Plan for 300 soldier homes at Stafford's Beacon Barracks
More than 300 houses are to be built for soldiers returning from Germany to Stafford.
The Ministry of Defence has awarded a £51m contract for the properties at Beacon Barracks which should be built by summer 2015.
The contract follows plans to develop the town into one of the Army's seven major areas for personnel.
A £100m contract to carry out a major redevelopment of the barracks was announced in October.
