Elvers released into River Severn in Shropshire
More than 2,000 baby eels have been released into the River Severn in Shropshire.
Severn Rivers Trust said eel populations in the river have crashed in recent years.
They were taken from near Gloucester, close to where the river meets the sea and where eel numbers are at a thirty year high.
Midlands Today's Ben Sidwell reports.
