RAF Red Arrows once known as Yellow Jacks

One of the founding members of the Red Arrows talks about when the Lincolnshire-based display team was once called the Yellow Jacks.

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, based at RAF Scampton, was formed in 1964.

Sqn Ldr Henry Prince said the yellow planes were not effective on a grey day.

He said they were back in the skies in February 1965 after being repainted red.

The Red Arrows are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year.
