Terror of woman trapped in Herne Bay mud

A woman who had to be rescued from waist-deep mud on the Kent coast has spoken of her terror at becoming trapped, and her fear that she would die.

Julie-Anne White became stuck trying to rescue her dog when walking on the coast near Herne Bay.

She was one of three people who had to be rescued in joint operations between the RNLI, coastguard and the fire service.

BBC South East spoke to Ms White and David Parry of Whitstable RNLI.

Pictures of the rescue are from the RNLI and Herne Bay Coastguard.
