UK floods: Council spends £250,000 tackling Basingstoke floods

Flood water is starting to recede in many areas, but not in parts of Basingstoke where the council has spent £250,000 on trying to pump it out.

More than 80 homes have already been evacuated in the Buckskin area of the town.

An emergency meeting has been held to discuss ways to tackling the rising ground water.
