March held for Damien Nettles

A protest and march has been held by members of the public campaigning over the case of missing Isle of Wight teenager Damien Nettles.

The campaigners who marched in Newport want detectives to dig at Gurnard and Parkhurst Forest where it is believed he may be buried.

Hampshire Constabulary, which has offered a £20,000 reward for information, said it would not dig at the sites as information passed to them had not come from tangible sources.

Damien Nettles disappeared 16 years ago. Eight people were arrested last year but released without charge.
