Basildon divided over its failing hospital

Opinion was divided over standards at Basildon Hospital as the government announced it was being placed in special measures because of major failings.

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt said 11 trusts, among 14 investigated for high death rates, had problems so entrenched that tough action was needed.

Kim Riley spoke to people in Basildon about their thoughts on the hospital.
