Wickford father wants GPs suspended after tumour death

The father of a man incorrectly diagnosed three times with depression when he had a brain tumour wants his GPs to be suspended in the interests of patient safety.

Chris Buckley, 34, who lived at Wickford, Essex, died earlier this year.

An investigation by the General Medical Council concluded that two of the three GPs had delivered a standard of care below the standard expected but that no disciplinary action was needed.

Malcolm Buckley said that ruling was inadequate. The NHS locally is now investigating.
