Fracking limits for Dorset oil field

Conditions to prevent fracking are set to be imposed on an extension to planning permission for the Wytch Farm oil field in Dorset.

Planners meet on Friday to decide whether to allow the drilling beside Poole Harbour to continue for a further 21 years.

It is the largest onshore oilfield in Northern Europe, but the application comes at a time when the scrutiny of energy production has never been higher.
