'Unmanned' BAE flight over North West makes history
The first "unmanned" flight in civil airspace over the North West of England has been carried out by defence firm BAE Systems, making UK history.
The specially adapted Jetstream research aircraft flew 500 miles from Warton, Lancashire, to Inverness, Scotland and back.
A pilot on board handled take-off and landing but, during the flight, the aircraft was controlled from the ground.
Peter Marshall reports.
