Truro gets ready for light parade

The finishing touches have been made to lanterns in a Cornish city ahead of its annual City of Lights parade.

Large lanterns made by local artists and smaller ones made by college and school students will be paraded through Truro on Wednesday evening.

The 2011 event, which had an animal theme, attracted 25,000 people to the city centre.

This year's theme, following the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, is Kings and Queens.
