Birmingham university protest leads to 13 arrests
Thirteen people were arrested after protests last night at Birmingham University.
It is reported that firebombs and fireworks were let off and tables broken during clashes between about 200 students and security staff.
Police described it as a "serious public order incident", but protesters accused the police and university of using "brute force" and claimed they were "kettled".
BBC Midlands Today's Joanne Writtle reported from the university, speaking to the programme's Sarah Falkland.
