Shoplifters food scheme reviewed in Staffordshire

A scheme under which convicted shoplifters are given vouchers for food banks by the police is to be reviewed.

Police have been operating the system in Stoke-on-Trent since March.

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Staffordshire, Matthew Ellis, said it sent out the wrong message to criminals.
