Mosque stabbing: Public praised for bravery

The bravery of members of the public who helped administer first aid after a stabbing in a Birmingham mosque have been praised by the police.

Officers were called to the mosque on Washwood Heath Road in Ward End at about 23:00 BST on Saturday.

Four people, including a police officer have been treated for stab wounds.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Ch Supt Alex Murray said there had been some brave action from members of the public.
