Compost fire legal action threat
The Environment Agency is considering prosecuting the company that ran a huge compost recycling heap in Berkshire, that has been on fire since last November.
The fire service and other bodies are now trying to isolate and extinguish the burning plant matter, after the fire was declared a legal nuisance.
Other commercial compost sites are also to be checked for potential fire risks.
