Gas-powered buses introduced in Reading
Britain's biggest fleet of gas-powered buses is being introduced in Reading.
The idea was trialled in Southampton nearly 20 years ago, but it was too expensive and the buses were quickly withdrawn.
In Reading, the council-owned bus company has experimented with several different fuels, but it thinks this one will cut both costs and exhaust emissions.
