Lorry crash: M40 motorway shut in Warwickshire

Part of the M40 motorway was closed after a lorry partially overturned when it crashed through the central reservation, trapping a car beneath it.

Stationary traffic built up southbound between junction 16 and junction 15, for Warwick, after the crash involving a number of cars at about 07:45 GMT.

The motorway was closed southbound.

All southbound traffic on the M42 was advised to leave the motorway at junction 3 for Redditch and take the A435 to the A46 at Alcester before travelling north on the A46 to the M40 at junction 15.

No-one was seriously injured.
