Greater Gabbard: UK needs 'home grown energy'

The UK can no longer be dependant on international oil prices and needs "home grown energy of all kinds," energy minister Michael Fallon has said.

Mr Fallon was speaking to BBC Look East's Stewart White at the opening of The Greater Gabbard, the second largest offshore wind farm in the world, off the Suffolk and Essex coast.

Costing £1.3bn to build, the site is expected to produce enough energy for 500,000 homes and will provide hundreds of jobs.
