Lightning strike damages Pillaton church

A church has been left with a "huge hole" in its roof after being struck by lightning during stormy weather in Cornwall.

Pillaton Church was hit on Monday evening during what staff described as a "tremendous thunderstorm".

It has been estimated the damage to the Grade I-listed building will cost at least £500,000 to repair.
