The papers: Friday's front pages

Kate Devlin, political correspondent of Glasgow's Herald, and Susan Stewart from Scottish campaign group Women for Independence joined the BBC News Channel to review Friday's front pages.

They began by discussing the Daily Mail's coverage of the defection to UKIP of Conservative MP Douglas Carswell, before moving on to the Times and Guardian reports about the latest in the Ukraine conflict.

The pair then examined a report in the Scottish Mail describing the "union on a knife-edge" in light of the latest opinion poll ahead of the referendum on independence for Scotland.
