The papers: Friday's front pages

Broadcaster Jennie Bond and political journalist Rob Merrick joined the BBC News Channel to review Friday's papers.

They began by discussing the repercussions of the beheading of US reporter James Foley in Syria, looking at the approaches taken by the Daily Mail and the Times.

The pair then moved on to domestic news, including the Times's report about less-experienced medical staff at GP surgeries taking over responsibilities for some aspects of patients' treatment and the Daily Telegraph's interpretation of this year's GCSE results.
