'Glorious Twelfth' grouse season reignites conservation debate
To those involved in the grouse industry the 12th August is the first day of the grouse shooting season is known as 'Glorious Twelfth'.
Gamekeepers say the practice provides a much-needed financial boost to rural economies.
But conservationists say management of the grouse population is flawed, and that other bird species are suffering as a result.
