Libya unrest: HMS Enterprise to evacuate British from Tripoli

The Royal Navy ship HMS Enterprise is on route to Tripoli to evacuate any British people who want to leave Libya, a government source has told the BBC.

The Foreign Office has already announced that it will suspend the operations of its embassy in the capital after fighting there intensified, including near the embassy building itself.

It has urged Britons to leave the country immediately, saying consular assistance would not be available from Monday.

Chris Mason reports.
