The papers: Monday's front pages

Former government adviser and academic Zamila Bunglawala and the Independent's Oliver Wright joined the BBC News Channel to review Monday's front pages.

Among the stories discussed is the Times' lead which suggests the Conservatives will make merging income tax and national insurance, a manifesto pledge.

They also examined a report from the same newspaper that the insurgent group Isis had declared "an Islamic caliphate".

And the Independent's top story, which says that David Cameron's "threat" that the UK may leave the EU will gain no concessions from the organisation, was also discussed.
