Andy Coulson: Phone hacking trial told police investigation unfair

Lawyers for former News of the World Editor Andy Coulson have been giving their closing speeches in his defence at the phone hacking trial.

The court heard that the case against Mr Coulson was "broad brush" and "cavalier."

The jury also heard that the police investigation had not been "rigorous, open minded or fair."

Mr Coulson, is accused of phone hacking and conspiring to pay public officials for Royal Telephone Directories, and denies both charges.

Robin Brant reports.
