Black death pit unearthed by Crossrail in London

Human skeletons unearthed in London Crossrail excavations have been found to be Black Death victims from the great pandemic of the 14th Century.

The corpses may be part of an enormous emergency burial pit where thousands of plague victims were dumped 600 years ago.
